Royal Family News: Prince Harry Agreed To Interact With His Family For The Holidays

British royal family news reveals that this holiday season Prince Harry will zoom with his grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip now that their, “relationship has improved,” Entertainment Tonight reports. It was not certain if Harry would travel back home to see his family, but COVID seems to have put that idea to rest.

Prince Harry Duke of Sussex is living large in Cali with his wife, Meghan Markle, in their Montecito, mansion. He has the excuse of COVID regulations to keep him home on his luxe couch even if he wanted to make it home for the holidays. And for her part the Queen has already canceled her Christmas plans to travel to Sandringham Estate, and will not be able to indulge in her annual tradition of morning mass in town.

But all is not lost, like many families this unusual holiday season, the royals will be celebrating by checking in via Zoom to gather together.

It’s Being Reported That Prince Harry Has Finally Agreed To Interact With His Family For The Holidays

A source tells ET that instead of making their trek to Sandringham, the Queen, 94, and her husband Prince Philip, 99, will be alone and together at Windsor Castle—something that hasn’t taken place in 33 years.

The source added, “Everyone is on better terms and have been for quite some time. The relationship has improved and COVID has brought everyone closer together.”

Prince Harry’s updated Christmas plans come months after it was alleged that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had “no plans” of returning to the U.K. for Christmas. “At this stage they are really enjoying their new life in California and their new home,” a source told Vanity Fair. “There are currently no plans for them to return to the U.K. for Christmas.”

Recent travel restrictions have Meghan and Harry staying put for the near future

According to ET’s source, Harry will be spending the holiday quietly at home with a few guests in addition to zooming his grandma and grandpa Prince Philip.

“The couple will be spending Christmas at home in California quietly with Archie and Doria [Ragland] joining them,” said the source, referencing the couple’s 1-year-old son and Meghan’s mother. “Meghan, who is an accomplished cook, will be preparing some of their favorite dishes with Harry and Doria pitching in.”
