Royal Family News – Fresh News on Old Story
Royal Family news reveals that a well-known British Royal correspondent has disclosed the details of the new set of royal rules in his newly released book on the mechanics of palace life. The book, titled Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, hit shelves on Thursday (via Newsweek).
Low is known to have relationships with various palace staff members and for being the one to publish the story that lodged allegations of bullying against Meghan Markle by former palace aides back in 2021.
Special Policy Emphasizes Zero Tolerance for Bullying
When Low’s article in The Times of London, which revealed emails from communications secretary Jason Knauf that expressed concerns over Markle’s treatment of palace staff, the palace said it was “clearly concerned” and that “the royal household has had a dignity and work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace.”
Low writes that a special policy was implemented after the tense period of time that ended with the Sussexes leaving Britain and moving across the pond to the United States in 2020, a move that took on the title “Megxit.”
Thou Shalt Not Risk Nation’s Trust of the Monarchy
Low explains in his book that the new rules had been enacted to cover several grey areas that Harry and Meghan’s demands on staff, and their royal roles, exposed.
“In a glaring example of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, it says that working royals cannot undertake commercial work for personal financial gain on the strength of their royal status,” Low recounts.
It also advises private secretaries that when they are unclear about what to do, they should ask themselves: ‘Am I putting at risk the trust the nation places in Her Majesty?’ It adds: ‘This question must be the guiding principle on which all decisions are judged.’”
Royal Staff Still Malign Meghan Markle
According to a report from Celebitchy palace staff have continued to smear the duchess of Sussex as a “sociopath.” Apparently, Low spoke to the same people who were sent to royal biographer Robert Lacey last year. Lacey reportedly had “high-ranking” Kensington Palace employees reporting that Meghan was “unhinged” and a “narcissistic sociopath.
The same palace courtiers told Low that things had gotten so bad between the Sussexes and royal staff they’d taken to calling Meghan a “narcissistic sociopath.” Be sure and stay up to speed on this and other royally related stories. Return here often for more Royal Family news and updates.
