Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Just Bought $50 Hats For Needy Families Who Probably Prefer Groceries

British royal family news shows that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are slowly but surely spreading the love, i.e., wealth, they have accrued this year. From their humble abode in Montecito, California they bought up 100 hats from a New Zealand ‘social enterprise’ that makes knitted items for needy families. At $47 (£24.95) a hat, perhaps the families in need would be better served with a cartful of groceries?

According to the New Zealand Herald, Harry and Meghan contacted the outfit, based in Auckland, and bought the products in their son Archie’s name. Make Give Live works on a model of having customers buy 1 hat and they will donate 1 hat, which at nearly $50 a pop, is a pretty savvy business model for them.

UK Royal Family News: Meghan And Harry Have Ensured That 200 Hats Will Be Distributed To Families In Need

This year the couple who prefer that you address them as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent Christmas in their new £11million ($15million) home in California. Last year they were in Canada and released a pic of baby Archie wearing a Cocobear hat from, who else, Make Give Live.

Make Give Live founder Claire Conza says that last year’s picture netted her thousands of orders after the couple posted the photo of little Archie already following in his parents’ footsteps by commercializing and monetizing his every move.

Conza said, “As Make Give Live operates on a buy one, give one model, this will allow the group to make an extra 200 hats to distribute to families in need next winter through the various charities it supports.”

Harry And Meghan Are In The Giving Mood As 2020 Winds Down

Conza said she was delighted when she received a letter from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about Archie’s hat, and termed the letter a, “wonderful gift for the organization.”

She noted that, “Demand for the hats have continued throughout the year and the sales have created an opportunity to support even more Kiwis through a tough 2020.”

In January, Make Give Live said they were “overwhelmed” with demand, getting “multiple orders a second,” after seven-month-old Archie modeled the $47 (£24.95) hat. His so-called Cocobear beanie was gifted to the Sussexes during their royal tour of Australia and New Zealand in October 2018.

The Duke and Duchess made sure that Archie’s feet were in Ugg boots for the photo, and at the time it was reported that the baby had on a £36 brown cord jacket from British retailer Boden.

Seriously…. a $50 hat for a needy person. These two are both absolutely brainless and clueless. With all the free time Meghan has why didn't she knit hats and give them to needy families along with a $50 bag of groceries. Needy families don't need hats….. they need food.
