Royal Family News – Harry & Meghan Promises To Give An In-Depth Look

Royal Family news reveals that, according to the Baltimore Sun, Netflix revealed on Monday, December 1 that the six-part docuseries is set to premiere in two parts ahead of the Christmas holidays. The first volume of three episodes is reportedly scheduled to drop on December 8 with the second batch of three proceeding on December 15.

After many months of anticipation, as well as some trepidation (from the Royal Family), Netflix finally released a teaser trailer for the project. The series, directed by the What Happened, Miss Simone? director, Liz Garbus, promises an in-depth look at the Sussex’s courtship and heretofore unseen access into their tumultuous life as working royals.

Royal Family Behind Closed Doors

In the trailer, which displays a number of romantic photos of Harry and Meghan, Garbus can be heard asking them why they sought to make the docuseries to which Harry answers in voice-over, “No one knows what’s happening behind closed doors.”

He then says he had to do everything he could do to protect his family. The Baltimore Sun reports that a second trailer, released on Monday, shows Markle explaining, “I realized, ‘They’re never gonna protect you,’” leaving viewers to assume the reference was to the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle Says It was Fun to Work With Prince Harry on Series

The trailer, which lasts merely a minute, shows the Sussex’s appearing to claim that the British media was supportive of them until they tied the knot, but then indicating that, after that, things changed. Marke tells Garbus, “And then [snaps fingers],” with Harry adding, “Everything changed.”

Harry continued, “There’s a hierarchy in the family. You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.” as the trailer comes to a close the duke can be heard saying ominously, “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”

Yahoo reports that Markle said of the docuseries, “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired.” The Suits veteran added that it was exciting to see her husband, Prince Harry, as part of a proper film production.

“My husband has never worked in this industry before. For me, having worked on ‘Suits,’ it’s so amazing to be around so much creative energy and to see how people work together and share their own points of view. That’s been really fun.”
