British royal family news reveals that when Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Duchess Meghan’s second child, a daughter, is born she will change the line of succession whether her, parents like it or not.
She is expected this summer and in reality, it could be any day now. Here are a few other ways she will make history.
Royal Family News – The Markle’s Are Expecting A Daughter
One royal insider told Best Life, “Harry and Meghan have made history in most everything they have done like no one in the Royal Family has ever done before, so it seems fitting that their soon-to-be-born daughter will continue on that path, breaking down barriers.”
Will Baby Girl Sussex Be The Next “Lady Diana?”
It is possible that Meghan and Harry will not choose a title for their girl, as with their son Archie. Both children will have the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, although both are entitled to courtesy titles.
According to Newsweek, Archie could have been a “Lord” as the eldest son of a duke, but Harry and Meghan rejected that instead of opting for “Master.” If they do the same with their daughter she will be called a “Lady.”
Royal Family News – Will Baby Girl Sussex Be The next “Lady Diana?”
People are already reporting that the bookmakers are taking odds on the baby’s name. U.K. gambling site Ladbrokes list Diana and Elizabeth as the top choices for Baby Girl Sussex. If the child is named Diana and does use the title of “Lady” she would become “Lady Diana.”
But in reality, the title for Harry and Meghan’s daughter could be in Prince Charles’ domain.
When he becomes king, royal law states that Archie and his sister will go from being great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth to grandchildren of the reigning monarch when Charles becomes king, which means Archie automatically becomes a prince.
Royal Family News – What Will The Markle’s Daughter Be Called?
Baby Girl Sussex will be the first biracial girl born into the Royal Family, as well as the first royal to be born outside the U.K. Her big brother Archie was born on May 6, 2019, in England.
According to The Independent, if Meghan gives birth in California and retains her American citizenship, her daughter is automatically an American citizen.
When Baby Girl Sussex arrives, she will be eighth in line for the throne, behind her brother. This means that Prince Andrew drops down a spot into ninth place. Likewise, his daughters’ positions will also change with Princess Beatrice dropping to 10th in line and Princess Eugenie going to spot number 11.
