British royal family news teases that 2022 is an epic year for Queen Elizabeth who commemorates 70 years on the throne. The occasion will be captured in a stunning Platinum Jubilee celebration that includes a four-day bank holiday weekend in June. Will the royal runaways Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make the trip back to help his grandmother celebrate?

Pauline Maclaran is a Marketing and Consumer Research specialist and she thinks it’s a win-win situation if the Duke and Duchess of Excess show up for a family reunion.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Too Big For The Jubilee?

Maclaran wrote Royal Fever: The British Monarchy in Consumer Culture, and she thinks that the thirsty pair could use the occasion to “top up” their brand.

She told Express.co.uk ,“I think that would benefit both brands because it would be seen as a kind of reconciliation.”

“I think it would add to the royal celebrations to have the element of diversity reclaimed that they seem to have lost through the sort of rupture of the relationship with Meghan. So I think that would be a very good thing.”

What is the likelihood that the Markle’s make it back to rub elbows with real royalty? They have deserted the family and repeatedly trashed them so it might seem odd that they would rush back to wave at the crowds. And Maclaran acknowledges that by saying, “It kind of seems unlikely to me that it’s going to happen but there are a few months intervening before so maybe there will be.”

“I think it would be very good for the Sussex brand as well as they really need to maintain those sort of royal connections to really validate their brand, otherwise what are they.”

What they are is a two-bit operation that has failed in its effort to become a global influencer; unless one needs fertilizer.

The marketing pro continued, “So because it might benefit them more than the actual Royal Family brand that might in fact encourage them to make a visit to top up their brand as it were with a little bit of royal shimmer and glimmer.” As an aside, it was reported today that the Markle’s tried to meet Tom Holland and Zendaya in a bid to inhale some of their “stardust.” How the mighty have fallen?
