Not so fast royal fans! According to a new report from Vanity Fair, Hollyweird Harry was actually steering the rig and Meghan was in the passenger seat.

The Vanity Fair report is bolstered by another stunning reveal from royal biographer Robert Lacey who is a consultant on Netflix’s The Crown. He told the mag that the rude earth-shaking Instagram announcement was not their Plan A.

“Harry and Meghan had put a great deal of thought into trying to create something that would work for both sides, but that was all blown when their plans were leaked to the press,” Lacey explained.

“Harry was trying to get Charles, William, and the queen to approve a plan, which they wanted in writing. Harry wanted to talk face-to-face because he was worried it would leak,” Lacey continued. “Reluctantly, he did put it in writing, it did leak, and that led to the Sussexes making the announcement.”

Actually that makes sense because once again it fits the convenient narrative that the Markle’s incredibly tone deaf behavior is someone else’s fault.
