British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry moved to America in order to make a boatload of money, ie, “financial freedom.” Is he having regrets about abandoning the monarchy and shaming his family in the process? Royal watcher Duncan Larcombe suggests that Harry is having buyer’s remorse, and adds that Meghan’s recent absence from a big event is revelatory.

The new year has been full of royal surprises including Prince Andrew’s reported £12m out of court settlement with Virginia Giuffre. She had claimed he sexually abused her when she was a minor and a sex trafficking victim of his friends, dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his “pimp” Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is awaiting sentencing in the US on sex trafficking charges.

While Andrew is persona non grata as a royal, the same is not true for his two daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

Princess Eugenie Was At The Super Bowl

Beatrice and Eugenie have not spoken about their disgraced father’s actions. But royal fans were surprised to see the latter with her cousin Harry on February 13 at the Super Bowl championship game.

Royal writer Duncan Larcombe wrote Prince Harry: The Inside Story, and he told Closer that Harry’s appearance with Eugenie at the big game was a revelation.

Duncan said, “It was a real statement about his allegiances. Firstly, he’s attending this huge event with – not any of his new Hollywood friends – but his cousin Eugenie. He and Eugenie have always been extremely close – they’ve always had the same social circles and partied together. The fact that they are still very friendly, even after Harry turned his back on and heavily criticized the royal family, is interesting.”

He went on to say, “Despite all his Hollywood friends and new life, he went to the Super Bowl with his cousin so he may be starting to think, ‘What has this all been for?’ It’s showing the royal world is still important to him. Secondly, he’s clearly showing that he’s standing by Eugenie despite everything that’s going on with Prince Andrew. He’s showing his allegiance to the royals in this time of crisis, and I think it’s the start of him wanting to get back into the royal fold. Perhaps he’s finally starting to wake up and feel a hint of remorse.”

Or perhaps, none of his Hollywood ‘friends’ wanted anything to do with him. Meghan’s absence spoke volumes with some royal experts questioning why Eugenie, and not her, was with Harry.
