Royal Family news reveals that Prince Harry is hoping to avoid damage to his already tense relationship with his family as his memoir “Spare” hits shelves on January 10. Read on and we’ll give you the low down.
Royal Family News – Spare ‘Very Difficult’ For Prince Harry
Royal Family news reveals, according to Us Weekly, a source has revealed that the prince is hoping to avoid further damaging his relationship with the Royal Family when his book is released.
The source said that the duke has been working diligently trying to strike a balance in order to mitigate fallout over the book. They noted that Harry, 38, is also trying to stay “true to his principles” while keeping his publishers “happy at the same time.”
The tedious process of authoring a book can be harrowing and Harry’s book journey has been an emotional one for many reasons. The source said of Harry’s journey that it has been “a very rough process” adding that it had been “very difficult for him to recount certain traumatic events from his childhood.”
Royal Family Panics As Prince Harry Finds Spare ‘Cathartic’
In spite of revisiting the highs and lows of his youth – including the death of his and Prince William’s mother Princess Diana in 1997 – Harry tried to keep an eye on the silver lining. The insider went on to add that Harry, at the same time, found the telling “cathartic” and that “at this stage” the prince had no regrets.
The source explained that the former Apache pilot “finished the manuscript on his own terms.” They added that the duke “had a great ghostwriter and edit team to work with.” Royal fans will recall that Harry sent out a wave of panic when he announced his memoir in July of 2021 just over a year after he and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in January 2020.
As The Man Prince Harry Has Become
The Sussex’s decision to leave the Royal life solidified when they moved from the UK to Markle’s home state of California months later. Since then, Harry and Meghan have been speaking out against the monarchy, beginning with their March 2021 tell-all Oprah Winfrey on CBS.
All that aside, Harry maintained, in a July 2021 statement, that his book would show all sides – not focusing merely on his title at birth. The book, set to be released on January 10 has since been given the title Spare – a nod to the phrase “heir and a spare” (via The Rolling Stone).
“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” he said in the statement (via Page Six). “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
His publisher has said of the book, “With its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief” (via The Guardian).
Harry dear I’m afraid to tell you it’s waayyyy past time for you too worry about that kind of fallout.
