Royal Family News: Prince Harry Is Now Back In The UK For Prince Philip’s Funeral

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex was today seen at London’s Heathrow Airport ahead of his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday. It is the first time he has returned to the UK since infamously abandoning royal duties and relocating to LA for a life of “financial freedom.”

According to eyewitnesses the Duke of Sussex got off a British Airways flight from Los Angeles at the west London airport at around 1.15 pm. He was casually dressed in slacks, a jacket and face mask. According to the Sun a black Cadillac Escalade left his £11million California mansion on Saturday night and drove to the airport where he boarded a flight for the 10-hour journey back home.

As Harry disembarked he was met by security and then entered a black Range Rover, reportedly to be driven to Kensington Palace. It is being reported that he will quarantine for 10 days at Nottingham Cottage but he may leave quarantine after five days if he has a negative coronavirus test. This protocol is in place under the Government’s Test to Release plan.

Nonetheless he will be allowed to attend Philip’s funeral as official guidelines state those coming in from abroad are permitted to leave quarantine, “on compassionate grounds.”

Inside sources previously disclosed that his pregnant wife Meghan Markle wanted to join Harry but was advised against travelling by her doctor.

It is planned for Harry to walk behind the coffin alongside his brother Prince William and the rest of his family at Saturday’s funeral at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. He will be in a suit along with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as he is not allowed to wear his military uniform after being stripped of his official honorary titles following his decision to drop his role as a senior working royal.

The Sussexes paid the briefest of tributes to Philip on social media the day of his death. They spared just two sentences for the man who helped shape Harrys’s life: “In loving memory of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, 1921-2021. Thank you for your service… you will be greatly missed.”

In sharp contrast, the rest of the royals paid homage to the 99-year old patriarch who died at Windsor Castle with his wife of 73 years, Queen Elizabeth, at his side.
