British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry is being a good boy and will attend his father King Charles III’s coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6. So why is he reportedly nervous about his appearance? Charles is the one on the hot seat so to speak.
Nick Bullen, the editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, told Us: “I think he’ll be nervous about how the family [will] react to him, and I think it’s pretty clear that he’s gonna minimize the amount of time that he’s in London. He’s already said that he wants to be back for Archie’s birthday that afternoon, that evening.”
Royal Family News: Harry in a Hurry
Just days ago, after the RSVP window had long closed, Buckingham Palace announced that Harry the Duke of Sussex will be in attendance for his father and stepmother’s coronation ceremony.
But he will be flying solo, literally. His lovely and talented wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will remain home in California. In a massive coincidence, Archie turns 4 on Coronation Saturday.
According to Bullen, “It will be very much of a fly-in visit. Harry isn’t part of the procession or the balcony appearance.” Some royal fans think that this snub is the reason why Meghan is not traveling with her hubby to honor her in-laws.
Royal Family News – Meghan Markle Not At Coronation
The Sussexes threw down their tiaras in January 2020 in a move dubbed Megxit. Since then they have slammed the monarchy and both of their families, in one instance leading Meghan’s sister Samantha to sue her for slander.
Their rants came in a 2021 Oprah interview, a December 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and in Harry’s peep show bio, Spare, which dropped in January.
Royal Family News – Meghan And Harry In California
Earlier this month a source told Us that Charles “was hoping the coronation would be a chance to better connect and maintain healing between [him and Meghan].”
It’s been reported that the former Briefcase Girl will spend coronation day throwing a party for Archie.
An insider spilled to the outlet, “As much as Meghan appreciates the invite to the coronation, she wouldn’t miss her son’s birthday for the world. Despite being the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan is a mom first. She feels very grateful to be included in such a special occasion by the royal family and is glad that Harry can go and show support on behalf of their family. But being the same day as Archie’s birthday, unfortunately, she’s just going to have to miss out on this one.” That’s the official word royal fans, are you buying this line?
