British Royal family news reveals Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex knew that his bombshell of an interview with Oprah Winfrey would certainly rock the boat with his family members back in the UK, but he did it anyway. At least that’s what a new report says as a lot of loyal fans on both sides of the pond can’t help but wonder why he and Meghan Markle would air their dirty laundry the way they did without realizing that the consequences would be severe. In other words, Prince Harry knows all too well that his father Prince Charles may never speak to him again for the way that he embarrassed the royal family. Here’s what you need to know.

Prince Harry Knew Oprah Interview Would Rock The Boat – Hatred Towards Royal Family At All-Time High

According to Page Six, royal expert and author Ingrid Seward believes that Prince Harry knew exactly what he was doing when he and his wife Meghan sat down with Oprah to spill all the royal tea in front of an audience of 50 million people.

“I can swear to you that, and he wanted to rock that boat. Quite why I don’t understand, but he did want to. And then he did, and I don’t think he’s surprised by the repercussions or that he regrets it for a moment.”

But Ingrid added that she didn’t understand why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to go to Oprah Winfrey when they could have easily settled all their differences with the rest of the royals behind closed doors. Or at least, that’s what they should have done. Instead, they decided to embarrass Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and the rest of the royal family by airing out all of their dirty laundry.

“I find that so difficult to understand … what she was trying to tell us there,” Seward says. “You don’t go to the HR department in the UK. You go and see a doctor, or you say to your husband, ‘Darling, I feel dreadful, I need you to find someone.’ Harry was in therapy himself, so he must have known people.”
