Royal Family News: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Sad War Makes Royals Look Brave

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have sunk their own boat when it comes to the PR war they are waging against the royal family. Their Netflix reality show debuted this month and next month Harry’s memoir, Spare, drops.

The book is expected to mirror the docuseries, a tacky tit for tat of all their perceived grievances against his family and the monarchy. And yet for all the hot air they have blown, many royal experts and fans believe they are only making themselves look worse.

Royal expert Richard Eden wrote an astonishing piece in the Daily Mail that read in part: “I cherish my growing closeness to the senior members of the royal family who are so hardworking, uncomplaining and brave in the face of relentless and brutal media attention, criticism, lies, undermining and fictional TV programmes – and always so good to me that I’m honoured to know them.”

This affirmation of the royal family is significant in that it comes at a juncture wherein the Markles dragged the royals in December and Harry is expected to do more of the same in January. His memoir entitled Spare is said to be full of acrimonious venom about his kin, the kind he has spewed to Oprah Winfrey, Dax Shepard, Gayle King, and many others since defecting from the monarchy in 2020.

But the world was less than wowed with the Netflix show and some royal experts now wonder what is left to talk about after two years of nonstop, singular rants about how mistreated the couple were while they lived large, rent free and on the taxpayer’s dime while pretending to be royal.

On the other hand, the royal family have kept a dignified silence up in regard to the trash talk by Meghan and Harry. On Christmas Day King Charles delivered his first yuletide message as monarch.

Buckingham Palace shared the video of the heartfelt message on its official Instagram account. In turn the post received millions of hearts (over 1.8 million pushed the heart button) and thousands of comments were written in the span of just one day.

In his debut Christmas broadcast, King Charles reflected on Queen Elizabeth faith in people and thanked those who served others this year.

King Charles said in part, “Christmas is a particularly poignant time for all of us who have lost loved ones. We feel their absence at every familiar turn of the season and remember them in each cherished tradition.” Notably, he failed to mention the court jester and Princess Pinocchio.
