British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry did not let the Abbey doors hit him on the way out of Prince Charles’ coronation today.
Before most people were out of their seats, Harry was rushing to flee the UK. He jumped into a waiting car at Westminster Abbey which hurriedly conveyed him to Heathrow Airport and presumably onto a plane back to Montecito, California where his wife Meghan was waiting to avoid his kiss.
Harry the Duke of Sussex was sat in the third row and thoroughly obscured by the Princess Royal’s red feathered hat.
Royal Family News – Harry Demoted to Third Coronation Row
According to the MailOnline, lip reader Jacquie Presser stated that Harry indicated to the person sitting next to him, Jack Brooksbank, that he was eager to get to the “airport.” Why in the world did Dirty Harry bother to come to the ceremony?
The happiest the King’s spare son looked all day was when he climbed into his black vehicle following the pomp and circumstance of his father and stepmother’s crowning.
His car was “escorted out of the capital by a police motorcade in the direction of Heathrow. Harry was widely expected to return to California as soon as possible to celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday with his wife Meghan Markle.”
Royal Family News – Harry At The Coronation
It was previously reported that he wanted to be home in time for his son Archie’s fourth birthday today. The outlet speculated that if Harry flew commercial, same as he arrived, “if he left at 4pm he would touch down by 7pm, giving him time to celebrate his son’s special day.”
It was also reported that, in a very generous act of goodwill, Harry was invited to a post-coronation lunch at Buckingham Palace. Perhaps he ws invited knowing full well he would say no?
His latest attack on his family came in his tell-all memoir Spare, released in January. But today he was all alone as he walked down the long, long, Abbey aisle, while the brother he dragged in his book sat proud and pleased in the front row.
Why did Harry bother to come to an event clearly he did not want to be at? One imagines there will be all sorts of debts owed to the royal runaway now that he agreed to show up and not ruin the king’s coronation.
We will find out in the coming days what it is that Harry really received, aside from jet lag and the cold shoulder, from being a part of history on May 6, 2023.
