Royal Family News – Harry Wants ‘A Better World’ For His Children

During the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, the 37-year-old Prince Harry sat down with the pair of reporters and revealed his one wish for his children, Archie, 2, and 10-month-old Lillibet, who he shared with his wife the Duchess of York.

The duke said he wants his children to grow up in “a better world.” He said, “To grow up in a fairer world, a safer world, a more equal world,” but then added that it was “not going to be easy, but [he] will never, ever, ever rest until [he] as a parent [has] tried to at least try to make the world a better place for them because it is our responsibility that the world is the way it is now.”

Royal Family News – The Duke And Duchess’ Many Charitable Ventures

The prince intimated that he didn’t think children should be brought into the world unless a parent was willing the make that commitment “to make it better for them. We cannot steal [their] future.”

Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020, have worked tirelessly for an assortment of charitable endeavors. Most recently, the couple, who were married in 2018, was honored at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards and received the distinguished President’s award recognizing their work in social justice and equality, worldwide.

Following the May 25, 2020, murder of George Floyd, the Duke and Duchess spoke with youth leaders for the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust about how to stop systemic racism going forward. Through the royal pair’s Archewell Foundation, founded in October 2020, they have given out meals to those in need and even volunteered at a kitchen in LA called Homeboy Bakery that looks to reform the lives of gang members.
