Case in point: Prince Harry Duke of Sussex was “spotted volunteering” in Compton, California for a non-profit foundation that supports veterans. No doubt his high-powered team, including a PR firm, a press secretary, and ahead of communications, suggested the little jaunt following his splendidly stupid veteran-related PR stunt in a hallowed cemetery last week.

Prince Harry Can Buy Advisors But He Can’t Buy Common Sense

By the way, the “leak” of Harry doing literally nothing at the charity event comes just hours after pics of Brad Pitt surfaced at a similar charity event in L.A. The difference between Brad and Harry’s efforts is insanely different based on what we know.

Pitt had no hired camera crew tagging along as Harry loves to do, and eyewitnesses testified that Pitt worked driving a truck and unloading food, “for hours.”

What did Harry do during his “volunteer” stint? One comical pic shows him touching a bag of food as he stares at it helplessly, while real workers move about in the background.

Another obviously staged photo shows the Fresh Prince of Montecito standing stock still, hands empty, his work gloves stuffed in his back pocket.

Is it a coincidence that later today the royal will join some celebs, including Bruce Springsteen and comedian Tiffany Haddish, at the Stand Up for Heroes event?

Harry has sunk a small fortune into his PR team and while they are doing some things right, as the pictures of the dumbfounded Duke show, there is room for improvement. Granted, they quickly booked him at a charity event in what can only be construed as an effort to neutralize the ghastly fallout from his staged pity party at Los Angeles National Cemetery.

Not only did they arrange for his participation at a charity event, but it was also one held for veterans in the inner city by Compton Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Walker Family Events Foundation.

They also got it right by having the Foundation, and not Harry himself, release the revelatory pics of the prince (standing around doing nothing). But they really need to work on being less obvious with their “eyewitness” tributes.
