Prince Harry Duke of Sussex is suing The Mail on Sunday for libel after it printed an October article about his treatment of the Royal Marines after ditching his royal duties in the UK for a life of fun in California. The outlet reported he had, “not been in touch by phone, letter nor email,” with Marines since seeking a life of financial ease in the US.
According to Harry’s lawyers the, “barely researched and one-sided article,” forced military personnel to question his commitment to them and apparently contemplate suicide as a result.
Royal Family News: Prince Harry Has Overestimated His Significance?
Harry is claiming that because his behavior was called out in an article, the military community is now, “more susceptible to suicide.” By the way, his wife Meghan Markle also has a lawsuit pending against the same publisher. Surprise, surprise.
According to Newsweek Harry’s lawsuit alleges, “[Prince Harry’s] sincere ambition is to continue to help current and former military personnel by using his reputation and the platform he has as a result of his military service. This role substantially depends upon [Prince Harry] using his reputation to help such causes by attracting public support for them.”
“The publication of the allegations complained of will seriously hamper his ability to do so and therefore have an adverse effect upon the people he is seeking to help.”
The lawsuit goes on to praise his use of his reputation to, “support and encourage current and former military personnel to seek help for mental health problems. The publications complained of will diminish [Prince Harry’s] credibility in the eyes of such personnel and therefore make them less likely to seek the help being offered.”
Royal Family News: Prince Harry Thinks An Awful Lot of Himself
As a result of this article, “[Prince Harry] reasonably fears that this will in turn have devastating effects upon such individuals, including leaving them more susceptible to suicide.”
The Mail on Sunday is one of several newspapers that Meghan and Harry have forbidden vast PR army from talking to.
The story included comments from Major General Julian Thompson, described as, “one of Britain’s most celebrated military commanders.”
It also claimed that Lord Dannatt, a former Chief of the General Staff of the British Army, wrote a letter to Harry that went unanswered. But according to Harry the letter must have gotten lost in the mail as he claims he never received it.

Terrible. Harry mybe it's in the spam folder.
He's like Meghan how sad. Fighting for this and that all day long.
I believe that this would be the best time for Queen Elizabeth to wash the UK'S and the Royal Families hands of these 2 freeloaders. It's quite reasonable to assume that this is the main reason for his placing his lack of status in the military at the forefront with his current litigation efforts.
First of all he is an asshole who thinks the world revolves around him and his mistress, he needs to get checked into a mental facility first and foremost before even thinking of speaking out about mental health, no doubt that is one of the reasons he chucked the supposed deal with pal Oprah, maybe markle will have him committed then she will get all the sympathy and financial aid is is so craving at everyone’s expence
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say they want to be more independent so quit trying to sue everyone and get real jobs. Ever since they moved to the US they expect everything to be handed to them. Meghan wants all the spot light on her and doesn’t care about anything else. The pair of them need to grow up.
