British royal family news divulges that this week the plot thickened for Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, after the Times published accounts from multiple palace staff who claimed she mistreated them including instances of bullying.

Despite the filing of a formal complaint, her admirers claim this is nothing more than a “smear campaign” by Buckingham Palace in the hopes of discrediting her before Sunday’s explosive CBS 8 pm tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Now one of Me-Again’s most ardent defenders, Omid Scobie, tells SheKnows that the time period to which these staff members refer was a tense one, but not necessarily for the reasons they say.

According to Scobie, poor Meghan endured media coverage that he thinks was aided and abetted by someone at the Palace.

According to Scobie’s source, that created tension between the Sussexes and Palace staff, who might have been responsible, and between the royal couple and the Cambridges, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Did Meghan really think that the Cambridges, next in line to the throne and parents of three kids, had nothing better to do than to sit round all day and concoct stories about her, then leak them to the media?

Scobie informed SheKnows, “We have to remember that one of the biggest problems that the couple had within the institution was this constant briefing of their private lives and intimate details to the British tabloids, often grossly exaggerated or even incorrect or even just to make the couple look bad.”

“And so the environment that they were in at that time of these reports that are now coming out was one that was extremely toxic and unpleasant for everyone, I think, on both sides.”

Royal Family News – Who Leaked To The Media?

The man who calls himself Meghan’s “soul mate” nattered on, “I spoke with someone who had been there during that time, and that was exactly how they described it from all corners.”

“And I include the Cambridges and Prince Harry. It was an unpleasant place to be.”

So, was the tension between Harry and William because the Cambridges weren’t fighting Meghan’s PR battles for her or because William himself was a suspect in the leaks?
