Royal Family News: Prince Harry Wanted To Quit Being A Royal To Avoid Same Fate As Princess Diana

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is running his mouth again, and yes, talking about his family members. This time around he wasn’t trashing them to Oprah Winfrey, but he did invoke the name of his late mother when he went on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s “Armchair Expert” podcast.

Harry talked for a full 90 minutes about his privileged and entitled life of excess, mostly moaning about how hard it is to be him. At one point he divulged that he wanted to abandon the royal family in his 20s—he waited until his 30s to do so in a shamefully public and humiliating move known as Megxit.

Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 at age 36. Her car was being followed by paparazzi and crashed in a car tunnel. Harry said that he fears something similar will happen again.

The hosts asked Harry what his luxurious life is like after he traded living in a UK palace for living in a California mansion. Padman actually asked him if he felt like he was “in a cage.”

Harry responded, “It’s the job right? Grin and bear it, get on with it. When I was in my early 20s, I had a case of ‘I don’t want this job. I don’t want to be here, I don’t want to be doing this. Look what it did to my mom. How am I going to settle down and have a wife and a family when I know that it’s going to happen again?”

Harry clacked on, “Because I’ve seen behind the curtain, I’ve seen the business model. I know how this operation runs and how it works. I don’t want to be part of this.”

But Harry had to be “educated” before he had the guts to make a move. “Because you can’t get out. How are you going to do this differently? How are you going to make your mom proud? How are you going to use this platform to really affect change and be able to give people that confidence to be able to change their own lives?”

According to Harry it took being informed by his wife Meghan Markle before he saw that there was another pot of gold he could latch onto.

“She saw it. She saw it straight away,” he said of the celebutante. “She could tell that I was hurting and that some of the stuff that was out of my control was making me really angry. It would make my blood boil.”
