Royal Family News: Prince Harry Won’t Be Wearing His Military Uniform To Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral

British Royal family news says that this might be a little hard for Prince Harry to take in. Apparently, he won’t be able to wear his military uniform – which has always given him a huge sense of pride – because only working members of the royal family will be permitted to wear theirs during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Here’s what you need to know.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie, who wrote Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biography, updated his Twitter followers on the news. He wrote, “Only working members of Royal Family will wear military uniform for ceremonial events honoring The Queen over next week: procession and service in Edinburgh today, coffin procession to Westminster Hall (and vigil that follows), state funeral, final committal in Windsor.”

He also added, “As a non-working member of the family, Prince Andrew will not wear uniform to above events. However, “as a special mark of respect”, a royal source says he will at the final vigil in Westminster Hall. The Palace have yet to say whether this exception also applies to Prince Harry.

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both royal fans and critics alike to weigh in on the matter. Many of them wrote, “So, the one who really fought to defend his country, the one who really was in danger to protect democracy will not be in military uniform in order to allow others to wear their chocolate medals…wow. My respect for Harry,” along with, “No problem Harry will be fine. They can wear them if that will bring them honor. The sun will still rise and set. RIP her Majesty. We see the love that you mentioned King Charlie three. God save the King.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Prince Harry?

Another fan wrote, “Well this will insure that everyone, including media, will be pointing out that though Harry is not wearing a uniform, he was the only one who actually served in the military. Great move on the BRF to further show the world how unfairly Harry continues to be treated.”

So far Prince Harry himself has not made any comments about the matter.
