British royal family news divulges that Prince Harry brags in his memoir, Spare, about killing Taliban soldiers during his military tours in Afghanistan.

Not only is this unverifiable, and one of his fellow soldiers publicly told him to shut up already, he may have just placed his family members’ lives in jeopardy. And for what? To brag about himself in a nasty tell-all book?

This is not even the most horrific tidbit Harry feels compelled to share in the torrid tome, he also brags that he was rode like a “stallion” and slapped on the behind when he lost his teen virginity to an older woman in an open field. Pure exasperation is how the royals must have felt about Dirty Harry for the last 38 years, and now we, too, are privy to their pain.

Harry should know better than to say, “he killed 25 Taliban fighters during his second tour of duty,” words leaked from Spare after someone at the Guardian somehow got a copy of his kiss and tell. He has just made himself and his entire family even bigger targets for anyone so inclined for payback based on young Harry’s dubious bravado.

Adding insult to injury, he wrote that, “he did not think of those killed ‘as people’ but instead ‘chess pieces’ he had taken off the board.” Of course this is the way the military views combat, but these callous words will not go over well with the enemy he was dispatched to neutralize. Harry, who flew an Apache attack helicopter, was in the country in 2007-8 and 2012.

The Daily Mail notes that not every soldier knows or keeps track of their kills, but Harry apparently does. Yesterday leaks began flowing from the bombshell memoir, and they are fast and furious. Among other things, Harry casts aspersions on Camilla, saying he begged Charles not to marry her.

If Harry found his family’s opinion of him and his wife outrageous before the book leaked, imagine how they are feeling about the traitor now.
