Royal Family News: Prince Harry’s Name is Now Mud

British royal family news predicts that royal names are a mouthful as in numerous iterations across various titlings. In one case Prince William has been known variously as William Wales, William Cambridge, and currently is called the Prince of Wales. But he also includes the names Mountbatten-Windsor making for a mouthful and a good memory if one is to address him and be accurate.

William also has these first names: William Arthur Philip Louis. Alternately his brother Dirty Harry is known as Prince Henry Charles Albert David (Harry is his nickname!).

Believe or not, none of these names were necessarily destined as it’s now been revealed that their father King Charles had very different names in mind for his two sons.

Royal Family News: Royal Names Are A Mouthful

According to The Mirror, Charles and the boys’ mother the late Princess Diana took days to finally announce William’s name. This might have been because “Charles had his heart set on naming his eldest son Arthur, but Diana suggested the more robust name William, as in William the Conqueror.”

Royal Family News: Prince Harry’s Name is Now Mud But It Could Have Been This If Charles Had His Way

Robert Lacey’s book Battle of Brothers mentioned the name game going on between the boys’ parents with Charles and Diana also disagreeing on Harry’s erm, Harold’s name.

Royal Family News: Harry is Really Harold

Apparently King Charles as he is known now but then was known as the Prince of Wales, preferred that Harry be called Albert, the name of Charles’ grandfather King George VI. Instead, Albert is one of Harry’s middle names.

Tell us royal fans, do you prefer Arthur and Albert for William and Harry or are their given names perfect?

And what of Charles’ name? His full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, and that name will feature prominently at his Coronation taking place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey.

Royal Family News: The Name Game

Right now the question on royal fans’ lips is not what to call Harry (not in a family newspaper anyway), but whether or not the notorious traitor will even be at the coronation. His name is now mud among royalists due to the nasty way he has dragged his family since Megxit. Tell us royal fans, do you think the spare should be at his father’s coronation?
