Royal Family News: The Cambridges Are Coming to Boston
In a video on Twitter William stated, “In 2022, we’re back and bringing Earthshot to the USA where we’ll award the next five winners of the Prize.” Also appearing with William was Boston Red Sox All-
Star Xander Bogaerts. “And we will be doing it right here in Boston,” Bogaerts said from the outfield at Fenway Park.
Royal Family News: The Earthshot Is Coming to the US
In a statement it was reported that the couple, “will also spotlight and celebrate the inspiring city for their work on addressing the impacts of climate change and building a resilient future.” According to People, the couple were last in the U.S. in 2014 during for a visit to New York. Their first visit to the U.S. was in 2011 when they traveled to Los Angeles. The couple have three lovely children, Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte. There is no word yet if the kids will travel with their parents.
Royal Family News: William Created the Earthshot Prize
The Earthshot prize took its inspiration from President John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot ambition, a goal to land on the moon. The Earthshot prize, “aims to promote impactful approaches to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. Fittingly, the announcement that the second awards ceremony will be held in Boston comes on the anniversary of the moon landing.”
In another fitting tribute, The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, “will serve as host partner alongside Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston.”
Royal Family News: William’s Earthshot Prize Comes to Boston
Royal fans will no doubt wonder if the Cambridge’s will find time to visit the Duke and Duchess of Excess, Harry and Meghan, who reside in California. Early reports indicate that there is no plan to do so, as the royal runaways were in London in June, and had a chance to catch up with the family at that time.
