Royal Family News: Prince William And Kate Reject Flawed Royal Childrearing Model, Use The “Middleton Model”

British royal family news reveals that Prince William and Princess Kate are high-profile parents, often seen in public with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. In particular Louis has been a scamp, with many of his cute expressions going viral as outrageous memes.

Now one royal expert is chiming in to say that it appears the busy parents are trying a novel approach to childrearing (because past royal models have been soooo successful—Prince Andrew and Harry come to mind).

What might this different approach for their children’s upbringing entail? According to OK! royal expert Duncan Larcombe the Prince and Princess seem to using what he calls the “Middleton model” of upbringing. Duncan explained, “William and Kate wouldn’t let George, Charlotte or Louis appear in public if they had the choice – but they don’t.”

Why might they want to shield their kids from the limelight? It’s understandable that they want to protect their privacy, but Larcombe also had another, more unique reason for keeping the kids away from prying eyes.

He said, “Because if the public doesn’t fall in love with Prince George as a little boy, then he’s going to be playing catch up for the rest of his life. By the time the Queen came to the throne, the nation had fallen in love with Princess Elizabeth because they felt her pain.”

The expert added, “They saw her very popular father, the unexpected King, die at such a young age and the public loved and supported the Queen because of what happened to her father,” the expert said.

Duncan went on to say that the Wales kids are in a different situation than the William and Harry were. Their nuclear family was riven by divorce and drama, complicated by the early death of their mother Diana.

To this reality Larcombe said: “Although there are some similarities, George is being raised in a very different way to Prince William. William has based his children’s upbringing on the Middleton model – three children, affluent, but hard-working parents and lots of love in the house.”

“By the time Kate was in her early twenties, she counted her mother and father on the list of her best friends. That’s what William and Kate are aspiring to with their children, but they also have to drip-feed George and to some extent Charlotte and Louis, into the public domain.”
