Their clash was said to coincide with the entrance of Meghan Markle onto the scene, and various versions of events point to William wanting Harry to get to know Meghan slowly and Harry being incensed by such an idea.

But in a new report from People, a royal insider spills that the reverberations from the brother’s estrangement has long term implications.

The source said, “It’s a sad state of affairs because William and Harry could have been so brilliant,” as a team. “To think of what they could have achieved together is almost heartbreaking.”

Royal Family News – Will Harry And William Meet Up In July?

The brothers have not seen each other in a year and are expected to meet up for an unveiling of a statue in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana. The event takes place in London this summer on July 1, Diana’s birthday.

According to People, the brothers are still expected to make a joint appearance together this summer at the unveiling of the statue they commissioned together in happier times. Now royal sources are saying that if they do not meet first to squash beef, it will be obvious from their behavior that the tension still lingers.

A palace source told People, “Neither of them have good poker faces,” of Will and Harry’s ability (or, rather, lack) to hide how they’re feeling.”

The insider says that much could have been accomplished via their positions as royals if they were able to work together as a team. It is never too late to revisit the idea of a brotherly dream team but perhaps being on different continents represents too great a divide.
