Royal Family news reveals that, when a reporter shot Prince William a covertly sexual comment, his response was subtle. Read on and we’ll give you the low down.
Royal Family News – Why Not Netflix And Chill, Prince William?
Royal Family news reveals that, according to News 7, when the prince stepped out for a royal engagement Tuesday, November 2, he was not likely expecting to field such an audacious comment. But that is exactly what went down while the prince was speaking to a media notable at the Royal African Society’s biennial event, Film Africa, which celebrates Black stories in film.
While talking with a handful of filmmakers at the event the Duke of Wales expressed interest in watching more African films. It was then that the founder of EbonyLife TV and EbonyLife Films Mo Abudu told the prince, tongue in cheek, he could “Netflix and chill.”
The phrase is a slang reference to sexual intercourse. It’s used to represent going over to your partner’s house to ‘get busy’ with Netflix playing on the telly. The prince smoothly fielded the question with a smile and a polite nod.
Prince William Wants to Watch More African Films
Abudu, whose company, EbonyLife TV, made the movie, “Elesin Oba, The King’s Horseman” set to release via Netflix on Friday, later repeated her saucy suggestion telling the prince, “Netflix! Don’t forget!”
Later on, Abudu referenced the cheeky exchange, saying, “he said he hasn’t watched a lot of African films but that he would like to and that he’s going to watch The King’s Horseman.
“I said you must ‘Netflix and chill’ and he nodded. I’m excited that I’ve been able to tell the prince about my film today” (via Mirror UK).
Prince William And Kate Middleton And PDA
Though the prince was alone for Film Africa, others have taken note of the increasing ease in public between him and his wife Catherine. In fact, body language expert Louise Mahler recently discussed how the royal couple was touching one another more often when in the public eye.
She said it was a sign, she believed, that they were “showing us how to behave”. The body language expert told The Morning Show, “I think that what the poses are showing is that they are loving – strong and loving.”
In a reference to how, amid the COVID pandemic, displaying physical affection is once again important to the Prince and Princess of Wales, she added, “I take it a step further and say that these two take their roles very seriously and they are showing us how to behave and showing that touch is back.”
