Royal Family News: Prince William In “Crisis” Mode

Prince WilliamBritish royal family news reveals that Prince William and Kate Middleton are done with their official Caribbean tour, representing the queen during her Platinum Jubilee year. The eight-day long tour of Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas ended Sunday morning with William and Kate climbing aboard their RAF aircraft Nassau International Airport.

How did the tour go? It depends on who you talk to. Either the monarchy has never been better, or it is on the verge of collapse. The disparity of opinion stems from some Commonwealth leaders expressing the intent to leave the longstanding group headed by the UK monarch. While the citizens greeted the couple as if they were rock stars, politicians, including Jamaica’s prime minister Andrew Holness used the visit to air grievances.

Royal Family News – William And Kate Charmed During Their Tour

It is said that William, “held crisis talks with senior aides on his week-long tour around the Caribbean after it was hit by a series of PR gaffes and protests.” According to the Daily Mail, “The Duke told advisors he had to step up to add his own voice and confront issues of slavery reparations and anti monarchist sentiment.”

To this end, “Hours before boarding their flight, Prince William released an unprecedented end-of-tour statement addressing growing republican sentiment in the three Caribbean countries – acknowledging it had ‘brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future.’”

Royal Family News – William Was Forthright

A palace aide told the Mirror, “He was keen to be heard and certainly thought there was a need to get ahead of the raft of negative headlines. ‘He said he needed to make it clear that any of the Caribbean nations he had visited were totally free and completely supported in any decision they may make in the future to choose their own destiny.” “But he wanted to go further than that which is why the Duke made special mention of the Commonwealth in his speech.” The forthrightness is evidence that William wishes to amend the famous royal stance, ‘never complain, never explain.’

Royal Family News – William Will Explain From Now On?

A source told the Mail, “The prince believes that for him, the days of “never complain” are over. ‘He definitely won’t be speaking out regularly but believes if the monarchy has something to say, then it should say it.”
