Royal Family News: Prince William Meets With Teen Heroes

Prince WilliamBritish royal family news reveals that Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, met this week with Teen Heroes who have been honored by BBC Radio 1 for going above and beyond to make positive differences in their local communities. William met with five exceptional teens at Kensington Palace on Tuesday.

Royal Family News – William Honors Special Teens

This is the fifth year that the Teen Heroes have been personally congratulated by William and no doubt it is the cherry on top of their well-deserved awards. William is in line to be King of England, after his father Prince Charles ascends the throne.

According to BBC Radio 1 each young person helped another person by engaging in, “selfless, brave and exceptional achievements.” William heard first hand from the recipients about their deeds, then gifted them with a certificate

Royal Family News – Prince William Recognizes Teen Heroes

Radio 1 DJ Greg James said in a statement that, “The whole point of the Teen Heroes is to make a fuss of some remarkable young people who wouldn’t ever think they deserved it. If going to Kensington Palace to meet the future king isn’t making a fuss of them, then I’m out of ideas.”

So, who are these special kids and what did they do to deserve their accolades?

One teen, Keah, has been caring for her mother since 2018 while also studying in college to become a nurse. She gives back to her community by telling others what is entailed in looking after a member of one’s family.

Then there was Jake, 14, from Bristol who has raised an appreciable amount of money for bereavement causes. He took up his admirable goal after the deaths of his half-sister and grandmother. In order to raise money, Jake exhibits an epic Christmas light display at his house. To date he has raised over £10,000.

Heroic Teens Are Recognized By Prince William

Harry from Kent was hailed for saving a life this year by helping a suicidal individual. Harry talked to the person then called emergency services and ensured that the person got the help they needed.

Recipient Tom has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome necessitating his use of a wheelchair from the age of 11. He is the U.K.’s number one wheelchair motocross (WCMX) rider and finds the time to be a public ambassador by bringing attention to the sport in the U.K.

Last but not least, Madison developed Positive Packages, items that have mental health and well-being advice designed to help with daily mental health management.
