Royal Family News: Prince William Once Bit Off A Mouse Head As An Easter Prank

Prince William British royal family news reveals that there was a time when Prince William, Duke Of Cambridge was unburdened by the unwanted distraction of his publicity loving, mud-slinging brother Prince Harry. There were once carefree days for the man who will one day be king and one royal expert recently reminisced about a particular Easter prank pulled by the royal. It seems that William was keen to fool his cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and we have the story here.

Royal Family News – What Will This Easter Be Like For The Royals?

Times have changed, with the pandemic pushing aside the royal’s traditional Easter rituals which included gathering together at St. George’s Chapel for services. For the second year in a row, it’s thought that each family unit will spend Easter within their own bubble.

But reports say that the Queen will attend a short Easter service though it’s unlikely that she will be joined by her family members.

This is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second Easter in California and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have typically spent Easter with the extended family including cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

According to the Queen’s former chef Darren McGrady, the cousins had lots of fun during Easter celebrations.

He told Ok! that one Easter, when William, Eugenie and Beatrice were still children, he decided to make a Hickory Dickory Dock nursery rhyme-themed chocolate egg as a special treat for them. But it didn’t turn out the way he intended.

“It had a clock on the top striking one and a sugared mouse peeking out of a mousehole. We sent it up to the nursery on the silver tray, but 15 minutes later the Footman brought it back,” he told the publication.

According to the former chef, he was told, “Nanny asked me to return this. Prince William has just stood on a chair and bitten the mouse’s head off, frightening Beatrice and Eugenie.”

The chef took swift action and the day was saved! He explained that he had to rapidly make up a replacement and noted, “We had to quickly make another mouse, pop it in the hole and send it back to the nursery. I think Nanny put the egg out of William’s reach to make sure it didn’t happen again.”
