Royal Family News – Prince William Wants His Father To Make Him King?
According to Woman’s Day Prince William doesn’t want to wait as long as his father has thus far to be king. Right now 96-year old Queen Elizabeth shows no signs of stepping away for Charles who is in his 70s. It’s anyone’s guess as to when William will secede his father and apparently he doesn’t want to wait any longer.
William’s late mother Princess Diana went on the BBC to say that Charles was not fit to be king, presumably intimating that William should be next after Her Majesty. One source says that William feels the same way: “It cannot be denied that Prince William has just as much, if not more, sway over the queen than his father does, and is just as popular both behind palace walls and with the people outside of it.”
Royal Family News – When Will William Be King?
Another insider dished: “Charles is a softer figure than his son and would do anything to avoid conflict, perhaps stand aside from a role that for seven decades has been his birthright. Even if it is a huge ask of Charles, the future of the monarchy is without a doubt more important.”
There is just one problem to this scenario, and that is that the line of succession is written into law and Charles seems to have the queen’s support. She recently announced that his wife, Camilla, will be Queen Consort so it’s hard to believe that she doesn’t intend for Charles to be king.
Royal Family News – Who Is The Next King?
For now the larger controversy is who will stand with the queen on the royal balcony for her Platinum Jubilee celebration in June. On Friday she announced that disgraced royals Andrew, Harry and Meghan are not allowed to appear with her. But less than 20 minutes later the Markle’s retorted that they have every intention of being at the event which proves one thing–there is one Cousin Eddie in every family.
