Royal Family News – William Made Big Decision

In a new docuseries titled The Real Windsors: A Very Modern Prince?, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton says that William, the Duke of Cambridge, “will always put the interests of the monarchy before his relationship with his brother, which has been strained for years and reached a fever pitch after Harry and wife Meghan Markle stepped back as working members of the Firm in early 2020.”

Lowther-Pinkerton states that William many times chosen, “the more difficult route,” in order to do what is honorable. The Sun reports, he said, “the duke will never waiver from right or wrong.”

Lowther-Pinkerton says in the docuseries of William, “He has made a conscious decision that duty comes first.”

Lowther-Pinkerton worked side-by-side with Prince William for years and says, “Prince William is very analytical and asks all the questions. And makes sure that he’s clear what you’re asking him to do. His sort of moral compass is set absolutely rigidly due north. He has the clearest understanding of almost anybody I know of what is right and what is wrong, and he won’t waiver from it.” Lowther-Pinkerton worked for the brothers for eight years, until his departure in 2013.

Royal Family News – Will William Always Do The Right Thing?

Royal expert Katie Nicholl says in the docuseries, “I think William had to park being a loving brother who was absolutely his brother’s number one fan to put on a different hat. It was putting the future of the Firm and the best interests of the monarchy before himself and before his brother and before their relationship.”

Lowther-Pinkerton goes on to say, “There are many examples of when I worked for him [William] where it would have been very easy to take one route. But it wouldn’t have been the honorable or the right thing to do, so he took the more difficult route.”

William sees his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, as a role model. At one point in time she was forced to choose The Firm over her own younger sister Princess Margaret. Margaret was forbidden by Elizabeth to marry Peter Townsend who was considered not acceptable by the church.

Lowther-Pinkerton says of William, “He’s inevitably drawn a lot from the example that she’s given over the years. He’s got some great role models there. In a way, he’s lucky because he sits at the bottom of the pile in terms of the generational way of looking at it. And he can sort of look at those generations and draw on them. The monarchy has always changed, it’s always evolved—each generation will do things slightly differently, there’ll be lots of common themes. That’s why it’s an evolution, not a revolution.”

I think the trouble is like with any family, you want the children to feel equal and equally loved. However this isn’t an ordinary family is it. The Queen has obviously tried to make special roles and duties for all her children and grandchildren but there can be only one monarch, and so for some the reality of a sibling becoming more important or higher status must be somewhat difficult to swallow eventually for some siblings depending on their personality etc. Perhaps steps in future should be taken to make this more clearly understood when a royal sibling starts to demonstrate aggressive and challenging behavior towards a sibling in line to the throne. Harry should certainly have his titles and privileges removed because not only has he directly slandered the royals but has taken the government to court. I fail to see how these actions would make him suitable to stand in line of succession. It’s a constitutional monarchy reestablished after the government and people decapitated an unwanted king, so dare we risk the same problems should Harry be the only option. Take him out of the equation now and have done with it.

@Jezz, while you may have started well in your analysis, you ended poorly.

A royal sibling next in line to the throne should not feel that his sibling is his employee Orr inferior either. It is archaic for anyone to think you tell your brother who to marry or talk about your brother’s wife and invariably him anyhow.

Harry has never been known to talk about Williams wife anyhow despite having been privileged while she was not, or expressed public disdain for her even in the midst of all these drama. That is character.

Harry also has a right to live as he pleases and have that be respected. He will not be king and he does not want royal handouts that will be scrutinized and criticized. He wants to earn his money and spend it without any outside input. And he has a wife who is used to working, making money and spending it as she pleases.

It was really stupid to expect a grown woman as Meghan who did not grow up pursuing marriage to a prince as Kate did and conformed to, to all of a sudden learn to keep quiet and not express her opinion or pursue her ambitions. And it seem her interests and that of her husband align. The right thing is to respect that.

Now, if the royal family has alot of dirty secrets to hide, should the people not know about them and force them to change? Do the British public prefer secrets and hidden bad behaviors in their trophy royal family to remain same? These are human beings like any other. That you as a country chose to elevate them does not mean everyone else does or cares about them as an institution. I mean many people are smarter and have accomplished more academically and professionally than these..

Harry is the honourable one. He took the road less travelled, followed his heart, and is living his truth, all the while knowing the gossip mongers would kick him in the teeth, relentlessly. He will do much more good in the world than his stiff upper lipped brother will do at ribbon cuttings, tea parties, and being a VIP parading around his subjects. William has rejected everything his mother valued, family first, and relishes the Firm and all the glory that is unearned, the lottery of birth. The Queen should not be proud of what she did to her sister. It ruined her life, broke her heart, and defined her end. Who do these people think they are ? Harry is his mothers son, William is his fathers son and the latter is nothing to be proud of.
