According to one source, the pair, who will one day be queen and king, “have vowed to rip up the royal rule book and pursue ‘The Cambridge Way’ following their difficult tour of the Caribbean starting with the abandonment of his grandmother and father’s ‘never complain, never explain’ mantra.”

Still, that doesn’t mean they will go the way of Harry and Meghan and use outrage and victimhood to whine their way through life. If William’s reaction on the tour was any indication, he will step up to the challenges facing the monarchy with forthrightness and courage.
After encountering an unusual political pushback, “The couple are said to have hardened their view that the monarchy must be ‘agile’ to survive and thrive after a week-long tour to Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas hit with protests.”

While the everyday people by and large embraced the couple, certain politicians, “hijacked their presence ahead of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee to further their own campaigns to remove the Queen as head of state and moments branded ‘tone deaf’ and smacking of ‘colonialism.’”
A source told The Sun, “William and Kate will modernize how they work. It’s a breath of fresh air … In future they will rip up the rule-book and do things ‘The Cambridge Way’. They’re trying to work out what that will look like. It is not a criticism of how it was done in the past. But times are changing.”
Royal Family News – William Held Crisis Talks
William is said to have held crisis talks with aides during the tour and on the last day he made, “an unprecedented end-of-tour statement addressing growing republican sentiment in the three Caribbean countries – acknowledging it had ‘brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future.’”
He was later praised for dealing with the tense situation head on by acknowledging that more countries could choose to leave the Commonwealth and that in the end he may not be the group’s leader.
Before leaving the Bahamas on Saturday he said, “I know this tour has brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future. In Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, that future is for the people to decide upon. Catherine and I are committed to service. It’s not about telling people what to do. Who the Commonwealth chooses to lead its family in the future isn’t what is on my mind.”
Showing the true heart of a leader he concluded, “’What matters to us is the potential the Commonwealth family has to create a better future for the people who form it, and our commitment to serve and support as best we can.” Is there anything more that can be asked of a leader?
