But the side gossip is how William’s choice may have been a back handed slap at scurrilous Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who seemed to cultivate a relationship with the woman who then seemed to distance herself after their “Live to Lead” Netflix dropped last December.

Of the appointment, royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital: “Jacinda Ardern has always had a friendly relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

I think this collaboration makes sense for them both. Their contributions will make a powerful impact in the environmental space.”

“In terms of Harry versus William, I felt like Ardern drew a line in the sand in December 2022 when she insisted that she had not worked with the Sussexes on ‘Live to Lead.’” The Guardian reported that Ardern learned the Markles were behind the documentary the day the trailer was released.

The Duke and Duchess of Excess named themselves as the executive producers of “Live to Lead,” a project that debuted after their reality show “Harry & Meghan.

Ardern was featured in “Live to Lead” along with several other leaders. But she took the extraordinary step of making sure that the world knew she was not in bed with the Markles, issuing a statement that she had no idea what they were up to when she agreed to an interview with them.

Schofield noted that “Jacinda Ardern was one of the first personalities to publicly distance herself from the project insisting that she thought she was working with The Nelson Mandela Foundation.”
