The Passage is the organization William and his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, have visited many times in the past. There he was seen helping to package food and speaking with the residents. In December William helped the staff fix hot meals for the homeless.
He stated that over the years the group had left a, “deep and lasting impression,” on him.
A photo from 1993 shows young Prince William and Prince Harry with their mother and a resident during a visit to the center. The resident is leaning on William’s shoulder and all look to be enjoying the visit.
Another photo shows Princess Diana’s and William’s signatures in the visitor’s book entry from that visit.

The organization has several facilities and William visited the group’s Resource Centre in Westminster, as well as two residential centers: Passage House Assessment Centre in Pimlico, and Montfort House in Bethnal Green. Both places treat clients with complex needs.
The pandemic has hit the group hard and yet it was able to serve 70,000 meals during both national lockdowns. The group hopes that William’s visits will shine a light on the organization and result in a few more resources coming their way.
