British royal family news reveals that Prince William has never been busier: he is a father of three, the heir to the throne, and just unveiled a project to end homelessness in the UK.

But the good news is that when he turned 41 on June 21, he made sure to enjoy himself and take a well-deserved break from his work.

A source spilled to Us Weekly that “William’s friends had the idea to take him out to a nightclub for his birthday. William was skeptical at first but then decided to step out of his comfort zone and do something he hasn’t done in years. He wound up having an amazing time!”

At this time William is hard at work on his Homewards charity which launched earlier in the week. Kensington Palace issued a statement on Monday, June 26 noting that the project will unite “an unprecedented network of organizations and individuals (to) create and deliver a tailored plan to prevent homelessness in their areas.”

William’s plan is ambitious. In the next five years he wants Homewards to debut in six UK locations around the United Kingdom, with £500,000 given to each site for startup costs.

William announced the project in statement that read in part: “In a modern and progressive society, everyone should have a safe and secure home, be treated with dignity and given the support they need. Through Homewards, I want to make this a reality and over the next five years, give people across the U.K. hope that homelessness can be prevented when we collaborate.” It’s been reported that William’s goal is to see homelessness eradicated across the UK.
