The interview was a part of ITV’s documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.” Instead they made it all about them. This was the infamous interview when Meghan complained that no one was asking how SHE was doing. Instead of talking about the country they were in as royal representatives, Meghan croaked about being a mom and a newlywed as a hi-vis royal.

Then there was the point at which Tom Bradby questioned Harry on his rift with his brother.

Instead of comporting himself in a discreet manner, he threw gas on the fire. Harry complained that he and William were, “on different paths at the moment, but I will always be there for him, as I know he will always be there for me.”

The interview was a blast of hot air in more ways than one and it dominated the headlines just as Prince William and Princess Kate were on their own official tour of Pakistan.

An excerpt of Low’s book, “Courtiers: Intrigue, Ambition, and the Power Players Behind the House of Windsor,” in the Times, reports that William and Kate, “saw it as a deliberate attempt to knock the Cambridges out of the headlines,” thus further straining the fraught relationship.

The author claims that William, “set up a meeting with Harry, who initially agreed in hopes of making amends after he and Markle made several accusations against the family.”
