British Royal News: Prince William’s Disdain For His Father Prince Charles Revealed

According to royal expert and author Robert Lacey, who recently wrote the book, Battle of Brothers: William and Harry — The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult, he says that Prince William apparently felt an open disdain and aggression towards his father throughout his childhood and teen years. He especially hated the arguments that Prince Charles used to have with his mother Princess Diana, who died back in 1997. “I hate you, Papa. I hate you so much,” William allegedly shouted at Charles, now 71, at one point. “Why do you make Mummy cry all the time?”

Lacey says that the only consolidation that William had at the time was the fact that he would one day be King of England, especially when his parents’ fighting intensified behind the scenes.

The author also opened up about the fractured relationship Prince William now has with his brother, Prince Harry. Things reportedly deteriorated when the elder royal expressed his concerns about Harry’s relationship with Meghan. Harry didn’t appreciate his brother meddling in his personal affairs and a huge fight had supposedly erupted between them. Things have gotten so bad that William and Harry are barely on speaking terms now. While William is still living in the UK with his family, Prince Harry is now calling California his new home.

One insider told Us Weekly that things might never be the same again between William and Harry because both men are unwilling to compromise. The tipster said that the royal brothers are “two extremely stubborn, principled men who won’t back down regarding what they believe is right” and “seem content to let things stall.”
