British royal family news reveals that today the world is reacting to Sunday’s bombshell reveal that Prince William  Duke of Cambridge contracted coronavirus in April in the UK and kept mum about it.

Not everyone is impressed with his stiff upper lip and desire to not alarm Britain as a whole. Some royal experts are adamant that William, the second in line to the throne, should have informed the public despite the fact that his father Prince Charles and British Prime minister Boris Johnson had rocked the country with their positive diagnoses.

Royal Experts Question Why Prince William Kept COVID Diagnosis A Secret

Joe Little is the managing editor of Majesty magazine and he thinks that the Duke of Cambridge’s choice to stay quiet at the time was questionable and, “a retrograde step,” in terms of transparency.

Likewise, the royal editor for ITV Chris Ship also questioned the “wisdom” of William’s decision to keep the public in the dark.

The news broke last night in The Sun after a source informed them that William reportedly told them at an event, “There were important things going on and I didn’t want to worry anyone.”

Was William Right Or Wrong Keeping His COVID Diagnosis A Secret?

It is alleged that Prince William came down with the virus in April the same approximate time his father Prince Charles was fighting the virus in self-isolation. Now half a year later his revelation has royal watchers divided about his decision regarding the virus which reportedly left him “breathless.”

Little said, “Was it wise on the part of Kensington Palace to suppress it? I suppose you could say that we’re living in extremely unusual times and it was done with the best of intentions. But with the benefit of hindsight, I suppose it is questionable.”

He added, “I think with the benefit of hindsight, it would have been sensible once he was fully recovered to say: “Well look, I’ve had it, but I’m okay now.’”

Should William Have Divulged That He Had COVID in April

Royal watcher Penny Junor was of the mind that William’s decision was, “very odd.” She said, “When I heard it, I thought “Surely it can’t be true because we would have been told any important news.’”

There seem to be two trains of thought about William and COVID: those who think the royal should have informed the public and those who think he has a right to keep some matters private.

I have no problem with it. The country would have gone berserk and there was nothing to do about the situation–no harm, no foul.

Makes you think what else he is hiding. That’s the issue.

He did not use this carelessly. Not only the country but his brother who would have worried so much while his wife would say. forget it. you're not going or similar. She could care less but I agree, the reporter should be banned because it would have sent the country into hysterics. just look at them now when he protected them. Damned if you do and Damned if you don't. Reporters, get over it!!!!!!
