Royal Family News: Prince William’s Rock Star Moment, American Stars Flock To Royal Couple

British royal family news shows that The Duke and Duchess of Wales, William and Kate, are getting superstar treatment upon their upcoming trip to the US. Red hot artists Billie Eilish and Annie Lennox will headline a concert event for the Prince of Wales’ Earthshot Prize awards in Boston.

The couple arrive in Beantown on Wednesday for what will be a three-day trip. The grand event is the distribution of Earthshot awards on Friday, “described by one insider as the prince’s ‘Super Bowl moment’” according to the Daily Mail. The awards will be broadcast on the BBC in the UK on Sunday at 5.30pm.

William developed the award scheme and this will be the second round of awards. The awards are given to individuals and organizations who come up with innovative solutions to the environmental crisis. Five entrants will each win £1 million, making the prize both prestigious and financially rewarding.

Earthshot Prizes Are Prestigious

Sources tell the outlet that William views his Earthshot endeavor, “as part of his increasing ‘global leadership’ role.” One insider has described this year’s event as the prince’s, “Super Bowl moment.”

“It’s a big moment for him on the world stage,” they added.

Royal Family News – William Hands Out Earthshot Awards

This visit represents the first overseas trip for the Prince and the Princess of Wales since being given their current titles. They are said to be, “hugely excited,” about the trip. Royal experts maintain that this foray could be a significant moment, “in forging their own paths as working royals. They are keen to meet members of as many local communities as possible during their visit to a city famed for its Irish community, sporting heritage and history.”

Prince William and Kate Eager To Make History

During Friday night’s awards ceremony Sir David Attenborough will intro the show’s opening, and Brit actress and Earthshot judging panel member Cate Blanchett will narrate a review of the 2021 winners. Esteemed actor Rami Malek will present an award.
