The couple was married in a small, private, COVID-restricted wedding at Windsor Castle in July. Their original wedding plans called for a typically large and lavish royal wedding in London in May.
However the coronavirus pandemic necessitated a pushback of the date, and a much smaller ceremony was the result. According to Buckingham Palace, the couple will welcome their first child this fall.
Royal Family News – A New Royal Baby Is Due Later This Year
Buckingham Palace stated that Queen Elizabeth, “has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.” The baby will be the first for Princess Beatrice but she is a stepmom to Edoardo’s son Wolfie from a previous relationship. Princess Beatrice is said to be very close with her stepson, and went on record to say it was a “great honor to become a stepmother.”
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo were married earlier this year in a surprise ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge. The guest list was limited and included Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Beatrice wore her grandmother’s vintage Norman Hartnell dress.

Royal Family News – There Is Good News For The Royal Family
Beatrice’s exciting baby news comes at a fraught juncture for the royal family. In April their patriarch Prince Philip died at the age of 99 leaving a huge hole in the fabric of the royal family. Philip and Elizabeth had been married for 73 years.
Princess Beatrice’s parents are Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and Bea’s baby will be their second grandchild. Princess Eugenie provided them with their first grandchild when she gave birth to her first child, August, with her husband Jack Brooksbank earlier this year. No doubt the two royal sisters will have plenty of playdates planned for their little ones.

The year 2021 is a bumper crop year for royal babies. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their second child this summer and Zara Tindall and her husband Mike just welcomed a new addition to their family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now living in Montecito, California after abandoning the royal family and share son Archie. Today is their third wedding anniversary.
