Royal Family News: Princess Beatrice Snubbing Covid Rules By Partying At a London Restaurant?

British royal family news shows that the United Kingdom’s Princess Beatrice is the latest high profile person to be accused of breaking coronavirus lockdown rules. Tsk, tsk, not a good look for Bea by dining out for all the world to see in London, with members of different households.

Bea and her husband Edoardo Mozzi dined with four other people in Mayfair restaurant Isabel on Wednesday night. This is a no-no under the capital’s Tier 2 lockdown rules which state that only members of the same household can gather indoors, including restaurants.

And yet instead of Bea owning up to her obvious bending of the rules, royal sources have said in her stead that the three-hour dinner was an, “introductory work meeting.” That label makes her outing permissible under the current rules—how convenient.

Princess Beatrice Was Seen Having A Great Time Socially But Passed It Off As Work

Despite protestations to the contrary, the diners around the princess’s party described her outing as, “very social,” and alcohol was on the table.

Add to that another breaking of the rules when Beatrice took a picture with her fashion-designer friend Peter Dundas breaching social distancing rules. He posted the picture online saying it was good to, “catch up” with the Princess. Work indeed.

One restaurant patron told The Sun, “I couldn’t believe my eyes. If the Royal Family can’t get coronavirus rules right, what hope for the rest of us? There is a very serious side to this and Beatrice deserves a ticking off.”

Not Everyone Thinks That Beatrice’s Night On The Town Was Kosher

Bea’s big adventure comes at a time when London’s infection rate per 100,000 people was 191.8 on December 6, up from 158.1 the previous week. The rate of infection is trending upward at an alarming rate, thus the crackdown on social gatherings–For everyone but Bea, of course.

Beatrice is not a working member of the royal family. She works for American software company Afiniti with the title, vice president of partnerships and strategy.

A manager at the restaurant Isabel wasn’t working on the night the royal came in, but made it a point to say that the establishment follows all the guidelines put forward by the Government. For instance, if a group is not living under the same roof they would not be granted a table.
