Royal Family News: Princess Diana Feared Her Friend Would Be Killed

British royal family news reveals that one of the late Princess Diana’s friends is spilling all about one instance of her alleged paranoia. James Colthurst claims in a new documentary that she had him ride a bicycle to covertly deliver personal documents on her behalf all the while frightened that he would be whacked.

According to Colthurst, Diana had him deliver interview tapes to her biographer Andrew Morton, and was concerned he would be, “deliberately knocked off his bike.”

The astonishing admission comes in ITV’s 90-minute film titled Diana.

Royal Family News – Princess Diana Was Sure Her Friend Would Be Harmed

The film is said to use, “never-heard-before testimony and rarely-seen archive footage to illustrate the most iconic moments of the mother-of-two’s life – from her teenage years as a Pimlico nursery assistant to finding her voice as the Princess of Wales.”

Needless to say, Diana’s fear was unfounded.

The very much alive Colthurst recalls how he met Diana on a ski trip and went on to become her “mule” for her tell-all book the 1992 bestseller Diana: Her True Story.

He said he carried, “secret audio tapes made by her to a drop-off point in south London for collection by author Andrew Morton – leaving the princess to worry about her friend being ‘deliberately knocked off his bike.’”

He admits, “I used to cycle them to a restaurant – it’s all very covert isn’t it, sounds that way.. that was the handover point, the live letter box. I think I had a great relief each time I handed over a tape. Diana always had a problem knowing this was going on, she was worried I’d be knocked off my bicycle deliberately.”

He added, “They were some pretty anxious moments. Not least when I had one batch of transcripts and I was going through the Houses of Parliament and a bus had moved me over to avoid some traffic I think on to a pothole. I hit it hard and the papers went all over the road right outside the Houses of Parliament so that was an anxious time.”

James not only took Morton’s questions to Kensington Palace, he also participated in making secret recordings with Diana before biking in fear of his life with the documents. We should all have such loyal friends (who speak out years later).
