Sadly, the woman best known as the People’s Princess tragically passed away in a car accident back in 1997, which many royal fans still remember to this day.

And while Prince William has been married to Kate Middleton for many years now, it’s Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle that has a lot of royal critics wondering out loud: would Princess Diana have approved? And better yet, would she have gotten along with Meghan Markle?

While no one knows the real answer to that question, one thing remains certain: the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex certainly share a lot of the same qualities. Both women like to push the envelope. Both women are rule breakers. Both women love the spotlight, but of course in different ways: even though Princess Diana was oftentimes regarded as the most photographed woman in the world, many would say that Meghan Markle pushes her private agenda like no royal ever did before.

Even royal observers and historians know that Princess Diana would have done everything she could to have made Meghan Markle feel a part of her family. After all, family meant everything for the princess. But as far as whether or not the two women would have gotten along personally and privately remains uncertain.
