Royal Family News: Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank Welcome A Baby Boy, See Her Precious Pic

British royal family news reveals the congratulatory news that Princess Eugenie has given birth to her first child, a baby boy born this morning. Queen Elizabeth’s ninth great grandchild was delivered at 8.55am and Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank was at her side at The Portland Hospital.

The newest member of the UK royal family currently is 11th in line to the throne. The unnamed baby boy weighs 8lbs 1oz and the joyous couple broke with protocol by immediately sharing a picture of the newbie, his hand held by his parents, to Eugenie’s Instagram.

Royal Family News – Princess Eugenie Is Now A Mother

This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child and her parents’’ The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, but he will not have a royal title.

Eugenie’s pregnancy was disclosed in November when she wrote on Insta, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021….,” with a photo of baby slippers.

Her mother Sarah Ferguson posted, “I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child. Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother. Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy.”

Royal Family News – The Line of Succession Changes

Because Eugenie and Jack’s child is now 11th in the line of succession to the throne, the Queen’s youngest son Prince Edward has dropped a notch into 12th place.

Eugenie and Jack have lived at her parent’s home on the Queen’s Windsor estate, and at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former home, Frogmore cottage. Just six weeks later they left the Grade-II listed residence and returned to their apartment at Kensington Palace.

Frogmore Cottage was given to Harry and Meghan by the Queen and remains their UK residence.

The move to Frogmore Cottage had the couple living closer to her parents, who live four miles away at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park, and less than a mile from Windsor Castle, where the Queen is currently spending the UK’s third lockdown with Prince Philip.

Eugenie is currently on maternity leave from her job as a director at Mayfair art gallery Hausery & Wirth.

But over the weekend she shared a video in commemoration of the 2004 Morecambe Bay cockling disaster for the charity she co-founded, The Anti-Slavery Collective.
