British royal family news reveals that as the days to Princess Eugenie’s delivery date count down the public is becoming more and more curious about what the newest member of the United Kingdom royal family might be named. What will she and Jack Brooksbank chose as a name for their first child?

Since making their baby news announcement the royal couple haven’t dropped any teasers about boy or girl names which has led to increasing speculation. Oddsmakers began taking bets the moment the news was announced!

Right now the frontrunners as far as names go for the little one are Grace and Arthur, with Ladbrokes setting the odds at 6/1 for both.

According to Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes, “It’s an exciting start to the year for the royals, and the early betting favors traditional names such as Grace and Arthur for the newest addition to the family.”

“However, with Eugenie’s name being fairly left-field we can’t rule out a moniker such as Tarquin or Matilda.”

Royal Family News: What Will Princess Eugenie Name her New Little Prince or Princess?

When it comes to girl’s names, it seems that Victoria, Arabella and Alice have the next highest odds at 7/1. The boy name James also has odds of 7/1. Following closely behind are the names Fredrick, Edward, Florence and Albert with 8/1 odds.

Interestingly enough, the betting odds have changed slightly since Eugenie and Jack made their announcement in September. There is no change in the top boy spot with Arthur remaining on top but there has been a change in the girl’s category. Immediately following the pregnancy news, the name Victoria was the favorite with odds at 5/1.

Eugenie and Jack married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018. On September 25, she shared the baby news on Instagram. She posted a pic of a pair of baby slippers with the caption: “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…” It was first expected that the birth would occur in January but an inside source has claimed the child is due in mid-February.

The new baby will be the first grandchild for Prince Andrew and Fergie and will be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s ninth great-grandchild.
