Royal Family News – Princess Eugenie Is Expecting

Princess Eugenie, Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter, shared last autumn that she and Jack’s royal baby was due in, “early 2021.” Now an inside source has said that Eugenie’s due date weeks away and that a “mid-February” birth should occur.

But unlike royal birth events of the past, the coronavirus pandemic means Eugenie’s baby is unlikely to be introduced to the world in the same lavish, traditional manner as past babes.

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and even rebel Meghan Markle, had official photoshoots with their newborns. In contrast, Eugenie’s baby is not likely to be presented to the public as quickly.

Royal Family New – Trooping the Colour Is A Grand Royal Event

Eugenie is a frequent Instagram user so royal watchers think she will choose to share the first photos on social media.

This spring one of the grandest royal events takes place, Trooping the Colour. If it is on the schedule, this might be the place Eugenie choses to introduce her newborn.

Trooping the Colour is the huge military parade held annually to mark the Queen’s official birthday. It takes place in central London and usually on the second weekend of June.

This year Trooping the Colour is due on June 12, a mere days after Prince Philip’s 100th birthday.

Royal Family News – Will Eugenie Introduce Her Baby At A Royal Event?

It is protocol for the Queen and her Royal Family members to gather together on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch an RAF flyover together as well as take in the pageantry of Trooping the Colour. Photos of the family watching this grand event together are some of the most iconic Royal Family pictures.

It would make for a spectacular sight if Eugenie and Jack choose to introduce their baby when they step onto the balcony at Trooping the Colour. Coronavirus has scuttled large scale events over the last year but there is hope that Trooping the Colour, an outdoor event, will proceed this spring.

The parade involves extensive planning and last year it did not proceed in its traditional format. This year the public will have to wait and see how the plans shake out.
