Royal Family News: A Rift Developing in Prince Andrew’s Family

According to Geo News, a royal source reported that there has been talk of a “rift” between the princess and her father, and the rift has even extended to the sisters, Eugenie and Beatrice. Reportedly, the word is that Beatrice is “much closer” to her father than Eugenie, at the moment.

However, the source added that any rift within the family could never last, that they were “too close for that.” As the duke’s daughter gets ready to launch her new podcast on trafficking, it’s worth noting that, at least at the moment, Prince Andrew isn’t on the guest list.

On her podcast, the princess will reportedly invite various guests to discuss modern slavery and sex trafficking. It’s difficult to imagine any scenario where the princess would invite her father onto the show.

The royal source added that Prince Andrew and Princess Eugenie have had “zero conversations” about the podcast. According to Daily Mail, Eugenie waited a full month, following the Guiffre settlement, to even speak to her father.

Apparently, Princess Eugenie was away for work when her father settled the civil case for sexual assault involving Virginia Guiffre and, once it was announced he paid over $15 million, she didn’t speak with him for another month.

Earl Of Bradford Goes After Groupon

In other Royal Family News, the 74-year-old Earl of Bradford has launched a blistering attack at the online marketplace, Groupon, for allegedly selling “decorative titles” to the public. The Earl, who inherited his title from his father after his death in 1981, claims that buyers might mistakenly think they have purchased legitimate hereditary peerage.

Groupon responded to the scathing by saying that their marketplace made it clear that the titles were “purely decorative.” Snarkily they added that what the decorative title won’t do is give the buyer “the same level of pretentiousness as someone who has the real thing.”
