British royal family news reveals that this week Princess Eugenie gave birth to her first child with Jack Brooksbank, a newborn son. Eugenie gave birth on Tuesday, and on Friday the new family left London’s Portland Hospital for the Windsor home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Apparently Frogmore Cottage will be Eugenie’s residence after all!

Royal Family News – Princess Eugenie Goes To Meghan And Harry’s Frogmore Cottage

“Frogmore Cottage continues to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s residence in the U.K.,” a source told People in November, “and they are delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their own family.”

At that time Eugenie and Jack were said to have moved into the cottage, but astonished royal watchers weeks later upon what seemed to be an abrupt move out. Now it appears that the family of three are back at Frogmore Cottage, which Harry and Meghan renovated from five separate staff quarters into a 10-bedroom home.

The cottage is near Royal Lodge, where Eugenie’s mom, Sarah Ferguson, and dad, Prince Andrew, reside. On the plus side it is just a short walk away from Windsor Castle where Eugenie’s grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip reside.

It is not the first time the two young royal couples have been linked. When Harry and Meghan began dating, Eugenie and Jack went on double dates with the now-married pair.

At this time Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, California, and have been reported to want to keep Frogmore as their U.K. base if and when they ever return to the country to live.

A former palace aide told People of the property, “It has the most amazing mulberry walk, where we would pick mulberries for Prince Philip’s mulberry gin. And when the Queen is there on a Sunday afternoon, it is a five-minute walk up the hill for tea with Granny. It is gorgeous.”

Royal Family News – Princess Eugenie Is Now Back at Meghan And Harry’s Frogmore Cottage

Eugenie shared the news of her son’s birth on Instagram, with a black-and-white photo of the new baby’s hands nestled in his parents’ hands. Later, Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying in part, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 8: 55 a.m. at The Portland Hospital.”

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
