Royal Family News: Princess Eugenie’s New Baby Gets A Unique Middle Name?

British royal family news reveals that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcomed their son into the world last week, and immediately made an announcement to that effect, along with a pic of the little guy’s hand. But they still haven’t revealed their new son’s name.

Now comes news that the royal cherub is expected to be given a unique middle name: Stamp.

If this is the case there is a sound reasoning behind it. Apparently the name pays tribute to Jack Brooksbank’s realtive, Stamp Brooksbank. And on top of that Jack’s full name is: Jack Christopher Stamp Brooksbank.

When will Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announce their baby’s name? Royal fans are getting impatient! In contrast the Sussexes and the Cambridges revealed their babies’ names within a few days of their arrivals.

Royal Family News – What Will Eugenie Name Her Son?

According to the Daily Mail’s Emily Andrews, the middle name Stamp would be in honor of Brooksbank’s great-great-great-great-grandfather, Stamp Brooksbank, who was a governor of the Bank of England in the 18th century.

Eugenie gave birth to her first child on February 9. At that time the royal family released an official birth announcement which read in part: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital,” the statement read. “Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”

Royal Family News – What Will the New Royal Baby Be Named?

The statement went on to say: “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement continued, “This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

Eugenie herself posted an announcement on Instagram. It is a black and white snap of her son’s little fingers holding his mom’s finger while dad holds the baby’s tiny wrist. The couple were reported to have gone back to Frogmore Cottage with their baby. Royal watchers were puzzled by this move as the couple had moved in and then abruptly moved out prior to her delivery.
