British royal family news reveals that King Charles may have just rewarded Kate Middleton for her loyalty, hours after he sent a strong message to traitor Prince Harry.
Buckingham Palace just announced brand new military appointments for several members of the royal family, on the heels of the official royal website erasing Harry’s HRH (His Royal Highness) status.
Royal Family News: New Royal Titles
All in all, nine family members including Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Prince Edward have been given updated royal roles, one month before King Charles’ first Accession Day.
A palace announcement read in part “Following His Majesty’s Accession, The King is pleased to announce further military appointments for working Members of the Royal Family.
The new appointments will continue to reflect the close relationship between the Armed Forces and the Royal Family in His Majesty’s reign.”
Under the new hierarchy, Princess Kate received several upgrades including the titles of Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm, Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards and Royal Honorary Air Commodore of Royal Air Force Coningsby.
Royal News: Princess Kate’s New Titles
According to People, the last title is sure to hold special value for Kate since one of her grandfathers served in the Royal Air Force, Captain Peter Middleton.
Prince William has been given three new appointments: Colonel-in-Chief, The Mercian Regiment; Colonel-in-Chief, The Army Air Corps; and Royal Honorary Air Commodore, RAF Valley.
Royal Family News: The Newest Royal Appointments
King Charles became Head of the Armed Forces following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. After today he has even more military affiliations as he has just been named Sponsor of the HMS Queen Elizabeth, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, and Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Tank Regiment.
But wait, there’s more! Charles is now also Captain General of the Royal Artillery, Captain General of the Honourable Artillery Company, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Marham and Air Commodore-in-Chief of RAF Regiment.
Royal Family News: Harry Demoted
Additionally, the King’s wife Queen Camilla will now be patron of The Royal Army Chaplains’ Department. Other family members to get new titles include Princess Anne who becomes Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, as well as Prince Edward who was named Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Dragoon Guards and Colonel-in-Chief of the Queen’s Royal Hussars.
Earlier this year King Charles named Prince Edward as the Duke of Edinburgh on his birthday in May, a title originally held by their late father, Prince Philip.
